Privacy Policy

This policy describes information collected when a visitor uses Cass County Court Docket, how that information is used, and when it may be shared. Use of the resource is subject to these stated privacy practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

Information entered in a search tool is sent to the provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request under its own practices. Cass County Court Docket does not keep or log the name, case number, or other query entered into a third-party search box.

Messages and Contact Submissions

If a visitor sends an email, the message may be retained to respond to it. It is not shared outside the organization except where a legal obligation requires disclosure.

Data We Gather Automatically

Site operations can collect routine technical visit information, including:

  • The IP address associated with the visit.
  • Browser type and version.
  • Device type and operating system.
  • Pages viewed and time spent on pages.
  • The referring site, when supplied.
  • Dates and times of page requests.

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files stored by a browser. They can support analytics that show aggregate traffic patterns, performance, and page use. Browser settings can block cookies, although some site functions may respond differently when they are disabled.

What We Do With This Data

Technical and contact information may be used to operate and improve the resource.

  • Maintain site availability and speed.
  • Route a search request to the relevant partner service.
  • Understand aggregate use of pages and features.
  • Identify and address technical faults.
  • Display advertising that may be interest-based.

No Court-Record Data on File

Cass County Court Docket does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of court dockets or personal case records. It provides general routing information for the Cass County Circuit Clerk, the Circuit Court of the 17th Judicial Circuit, municipal divisions, and Missouri Case.net. Missouri court-record access is governed by Missouri Court Operating Rule 4, and Missouri's public-record policy appears in the Missouri Sunshine Law, RSMo 610.011. Neither rule turns this private resource into a records custodian or a consumer reporting agency.

Third-Party Search Partners

Search widgets use outside providers. Information entered in those widgets is governed by the provider's privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing rules. Cass County Court Docket does not control those practices, so review the provider's policy before submitting a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Circuit Clerk pages, Missouri Case.net, city municipal divisions, court rules, or third-party services. Once a visitor leaves this resource, the other site's privacy policy applies to that visit. Read it before providing personal information.

Advertising partners may use their own systems to track activity across sites for advertising purposes. That processing is outside this resource's control.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Information can be disclosed to these categories when necessary:

  • Search partners that process a submitted query.
  • Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance.
  • Advertising networks that deliver advertisements.
  • Government bodies or law enforcement when a valid legal order requires disclosure.

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information the resource collects. Internet transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed risk-free, so no security method can promise that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If information from a minor is believed to have been submitted, contact the operator so the matter can be reviewed and addressed.

Your Data Rights

Depending on location, consumer-protection law may provide additional privacy rights. Missouri's court-record access framework is the Missouri Sunshine Law, RSMo 610.011, together with Missouri Court Operating Rule 4 for court records; those authorities do not create a visitor-data right against this private site. At a minimum, a visitor may:

  • Request a copy of personal information retained about that visitor.
  • Ask for correction of inaccurate retained information.
  • Request deletion of retained personal information.
  • Opt out of certain processing where applicable.

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised as site operations or legal requirements change. A revised policy becomes effective when posted with its updated date.
